The MORPHIA project aims to develop, test, evaluate and establish an interactive, mobile assistance robot to support care networks of relatives and friends. The assistance robot can navigate autonomously and is equipped with a video presence system. It is not intended to provide care services itself, but rather to support the care network of those affected to enable social contact even across distances and to coordinate “human” care, companionship and provision. Tasks in the care network can be coordinated and distributed more easily via the MORPHIA care platform, which consists of a robot assistant and a communication network.
